Repair Cafe – The Big Fix

As a collective, the National Big Fix 2020 is likely to:

Utilise more than 900 volunteers
Over 2,800 hours of volunteer time
Attempt to fix over 2000 items

Latest count, 68 repair cafes are signed up with more joining all the time

Basing these figures on the data generated from the Devon Big Fix in 2019 this will result in £70,000 worth of consumer spending not required by avoiding the replacement of broken items.

Save 60 tonnes of carbon – this figure excludes clothing and other ancillary activities such as tool repair, knife sharpening, bikes and jewellery repairs.
