Also the long since vanished The Ham which used to sit down a track (now blocked and claimed by Kings Piece I believe it’s called) on the right hand side of Grove Road as you exit the village. I lived there in the 50s when Gordon Bosley’s cherry orchards were at their finest. No running water or electricity in those days and it burned to the ground some time in the 60s just after my grandparents had moved out.
